Company Profile

Company History

Water's Edge Software was registered in 1992 by partners Steve Makohin and Steven Waters, primarily as a vehicle to bring the Tools Plus product to market, and to continue to evolve and support the product. The name "Water's Edge Software" was inspired by Makohin's lakeside condo, where he was living when he threw himself, heart and pocketbook, into the company.

Throughout most of the 1990s, Water's Edge Software became a powerhouse and industry leader in Macintosh development tools, receiving multiple awards and stellar reviews. They sold their products to an international audience, including such notables as Apple Computer, Sony, and NASA. Water's Edge Software was also instrumental in helping Metrowerks, a leading compiler vendor, bring their CodeWarrior compiler to a production state.

By the late 1990s, Water's Edge Software broadened its focus to include Microsoft Windows-based technologies and solutions, and its offerings to also include professional services.

Water’s Edge Software, Today

In the 21st Century, Water's Edge Software now addresses the majority of computer installations and users by focusing on Windows-based technologies and solutions. They also continue to address the needs of the Macintosh community, as the market demands. With comprehensive professional services offerings, which include consulting, management, vendor/client management, software development and implementations, it is well-positioned to play a leadership role in small to medium size companies, as well as to augment large enterprise teams.

Water's Edge Software continues to develop and market packaged solutions.
